Creating a Passenger Name Record (PNR) in Amadeus is one of the main tasks for any travel consultant.
The following steps explain how to build a complete booking from Cairo to Sharjah using EgyptAir.
Step 1: Search for Flight Availability
AN24SEPCAISHJ/AMSThis entry searches for available flights from Cairo (CAI) to Sharjah (SHJ) on 24 September with EgyptAir.
The system will display available flights with their booking classes.
Step 2: Sell Seats
SS2Y1This command sells two seats in Y class (Economy) from the first line of the availability display.
Step 3: Add Passenger Names
When entering passenger names in Amadeus, always follow the format:
LASTNAME/FIRSTNAME (no spaces before or after the slash).
Examples:
- Adult with Infant
NM1HAMED/MAHMOUD MR(INF HAMED/MOHAMED/16AUG25)Adds one adult passenger, MAHMOUD HAMED, with an infant MOHAMED HAMED born on 16 August 2025. - Child
NM1HAMED/MAHMOUD(CHD/11AUG20)Adds a child passenger named MAHMOUD HAMED, born on 11 August 2020.
Step 4: Add Contact Information

- Add your agency email address using APE for communication and ticket deliver
Step 5: Add Ticketing Instruction
TKOKUse TKOK to confirm that you have issued the tickets.
You do not need to place the booking in a queue.
Step 6: End and Save the Booking
RF PAX
ER- Use RF PAX to record that you received the information from the passenger.
- End and save the PNR in the system with ER.
