The Amadeus FQD command — known as Fare Display — shows all published fares between two cities for a given date or date range. Unlike FQP which prices a full itinerary, FQD works on a single origin/destination pair and is the fastest way to browse every published fare on that route. This free FQD builder generates the exact cryptic command in seconds.

What is the Amadeus FQD Command?

FQD stands for Fare Display. It displays all fares published for a city pair — including common (YY) fares, airline-specific fares, and negotiated fares — along with fare basis codes, travel dates, advance purchase requirements and applicable taxes. FQD never touches the PNR and is completely non-invasive.

Travel agents use FQD to:

  • Compare published fares across multiple airlines on a route
  • Check available booking classes and fare basis codes
  • Verify advance purchase and travel date restrictions
  • Find the lowest fares using the Shoppers Guide
  • Check historical fares (up to 11 months in the past)
  • Reproduce fares for manual reissue and refund calculations
Pro tip: Combine /S (Shoppers Guide) with your city pair to display all airlines sorted from lowest to highest fare — the fastest way to find the cheapest option.

FQD vs FQP — What is the Difference?

Command Purpose Input
FQD Fare Display — lists all published fares Single city pair
FQP Informative Pricing — prices a full itinerary Multi-segment route
FQK1 Breaks down fare + taxes on line 1 After an FQD
FQN Negotiated fare display City pair or itinerary

Use FQD when you want to browse what's available. Use FQP when you already have an itinerary and want a total quote.

FQD in Refund and Reissue Workflows

The FQD command supports historical dates going back up to eleven months, which makes it essential for reproducing fares at the time of original ticketing. Use /D<date> with a past date (e.g. /D23DEC24) or a past month (e.g. /DJUN24) to view what the fare was at that time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Amadeus FQD command do?

FQD (Fare Display) shows all published fares between two cities for a given date or date range. It lists fare basis codes, classes, and applicable airlines — without touching the PNR.

What is the difference between FQD and FQP?

FQD displays a list of fares for a single city pair. FQP prices a full multi-segment itinerary and returns a total fare quote.

How do I show only airline-specific fares, excluding YY fares?

Use /A-<airline> — for example /A-AF for Air France specific fares only. In the builder, choose "Airline only, no YY" in the Airline Filter Mode dropdown.

How do I use the Shoppers Guide in FQD?

Add /S at the end of the command. Example: FQDDELDXB/S. In the builder, enable the "Shoppers Guide" toggle.

What is the FQK1 command?

FQK1 breaks down the fare and taxes on line 1 of the last FQD display, showing the individual tax components.

How do I display historical fares in FQD?

Use a past date with /D, e.g. /D23DEC24 or a past month like /DJUN24. FQD supports historical dates up to 11 months back.

What are the cabin codes KF, KC, KY in FQD?

KF = First cabin, KC = Business cabin, KY = Rear cabin (Premium Economy + Economy), KW = Premium Economy only, KM = Economy only.

How do I add a Date of Issue to an FQD command?

Use /R,<date> — for example /R,26MAY26. In the builder, this is the dedicated "Date of Issue (Ticketing)" field.

Can I combine multiple FQD options in one command?

Yes. Each option starts with a forward slash and they can be chained in any order — for example FQDSINAMS/AQF/D21DEC01/R,15NOV01.

Is this FQD builder free?

Yes, completely free and runs entirely in your browser. No data is sent to any server.
