A MESSAGE IS PENDING TO BE SENT

Q1: What error appears when I try to send an email?

A: When you attempt to send an email via the Amadeus system to your customer, you may receive this error message:
A MESSAGE IS PENDING TO BE SENT

Q2: What causes this error?

A: This error happens when there is a temporary internet connectivity issue at the exact moment you try to send the email.
Because of the connection interruption, the system cannot deliver the email immediately and leaves it in a “pending” state.
The PNR itself is perfectly fine – the problem is purely with the email transmission.

Q3: How do I fix this error?

A: You need to cancel the pending email message that is stuck in the system.

Follow these steps:

  1. Use the command to cancel the pending message:
    >WM/CANCEL
  2. After the pending message is cleared, simply try sending the email again – it should work normally now.

Q4: Where can I learn more about email commands?

A: For additional information and advanced email options in Amadeus, refer to these help pages:

  • HE EMAIL – for general email command help
  • GPEMC – for managing email queues and configurations
