This error appears when the agent tries to change a passenger’s name in a Group PNR.
Reason:
The system blocks the name change because seat assignments have already been made for the passengers in the Group PNR. The PNR must be free of seat requests before any name modification can be processed.
Solution:
Follow these steps:
Once the name is updated, reassign the seats back to the passenger(s) as originally required.
Cancel all seat items in the PNR using the appropriate delete command.
OR
Split the PNR using the SPLIT command to separate the passenger whose name needs changing from the group.
After canceling seats or splitting the PNR, proceed with the name change using the 2 (Name Change) entry.
